Jackie and the ranch (NEW THREAD)

i looked around after the delivery men had left
"TABITHA?" i called then added
"Have you seen your father around i havent seen him in a while" i said refering to BO

"hmm now that you mention it I think hes was in the back pasture with my horses" I say and put a large halter that still doesn't fit Norman around his neck and lead him to the round pen and get on his back I let him walk around "so your still broke huh?" I say and hop off and get a bareback pad "this is all that'll fit you" I say and lay it on his back he spooks and bolts forward nocking me to the ground. I land with an "umph" and get back up "Norman calm down" I say and he slowly stops and I pet his head "The pad isn't going to hurt you" I say and put it back on and he jumps but doesn't run. I smile and fasten the belt slowly puting the needle through each of the holes one by one every five minutes "now thats better"

(Norman is a Draft but he can still be ridden. And scooter can be led around while someone is on his back or he can be in the pasture and you sit on his back and let him walk around(speaking from experience))

Bo walks back and sees the horses "uh?" i say looking at Jackie. Booker shook his head and trotted to the back pasture and Tabitha opened the gate and let norman trot to the pasture following booker. and the rest of the herd follows behind him.

Babe:i smile and graze

Blue:i tor around curiously

i see Bo
"Dont even ask about that herd of hers. The twins birthday presents arrived today" i smiled indicating the ponies that have arrived two days before they turn five.
"Babe foaled a filly as well" i smiled

babe:i look at the new herd.

Blue:i lay down

(ok its SO scary right now theres a giant thunder Storm outside and its just so weird but even creepier i was camping and all of a sudden a huge storm comes and were Stuck in a Flippen tent!!!)

I smiled back and said "well I would love to teach them how to ride with you" I say and look at Tabitha riding Norman "hey isn't he a little big to ride? I mean even for a 16 year old?"

Norman grazes while he gets used to a girth and I get off of him "I'll be right back" I say and go to the barn to get a halter that might fit him and I walk into the wrong room and find a carrige and I walk back out over to you "hey Mom whats with a carrige in the barn?"

i look at bo
"You try telling her anything " i growled slightly
"the twins will learn how to look after the horses before riding" i softened and then heard her call

"It will be restored and get that thought out of your mind. bring me a pen, a measure tape and note pad" i called to her and nodded to bo
"Come with me." i smiled

I walked to normal and studied him
"There is plenty of gear in the barn to fit hiim but every new horse needs his own gear" i smiled and let myself into the ring i crooned to the horse and began petting and measuring him

When tabitha come with the pen, tape and pad i noted his height and width and the lendth of his back, girth head and chest to tail dock for a rug.

I wrote all the info down for her whole herd and sighed
"Ill call the tack shop, this wont be cheap." and walked back towards the barn rubbing my lower back

"no it won't be hey I have an Idea " I say and get Charlie's saddle and whistle soon Booker is right outside the barn I tack him up and get three halters "I'll take them and get the halters and bridles from Lisa's Trailer" is say and tie the lead ropes to the saddle horn and mount up

((WHOS Lisa...and has Bo not noticed jackies mood swings, added appetite and sore back???)

(lisa was the origianal owner of these horses but her barn burnt down and she rescued them but died in the fire with the dogs and the horses got loose(and shes pregnant again isn't she(and I didn't even notice)))

Bo walked over to her "hey are you feeling okay I mean it looks like you might need to go to the cyropracter" I say and wrap my hands around her waist

((LOL ONLY cause i just decided to make her, except the grouchiness lmao)
(See doesnt know yet she suspects, she missed one period and waiting to miss the one due today.....random day ahha)

"No im fine, just working too hard but it needs to be done" I said and the twins came racing in
"Mommy look"
i turned to see the twins carrying a puppy

"Where on earth did you get that?" I said painfully crouching down

"We found it in the grass, we heard it crying, can we keep it?" then asked togerther
I took the puppy gently and turned ti over
"well you have a little girl, swhat will you call her?"I sighed knowing saying no would cause too many arguements and tears
the twins looked at each other and then at me
"Mia" they said together

"Mia it is" i sighed and handed the puppy back to them

I look at her and say "aww" then I look at you "k I'll be back in an hour or two because I need to stop somewhere on the way back" I say and lightly kick him so he walks and I wait to see what you would say

bo looks at you and kneels down to and looks at the puppy "well look cleo will have another puppy to take care of" I say and see the old dog run to see her (shes 12 years o;ld now in this RP)

"So will rose" i said and looked around
"Wheres rose?" i asked not having seen my most faithful animal

I then looked at tabitha
"Ok but becareful and what you need when you get back make a note and ill get it"

i began searching for my old king charles

Bo "you know I haven't seen her for a few days now" I say and start calling her name
Tabitha kicked him a little harder and ran him for a while but kept it slow because of Old Cody

After several hours i stumble across a hidy hole that i knew she used to escape the twins when they were little and in there it was that i found her warm but lifeless body. I gently picked her body up and carried it to the barn doors and crumpled to my feet the body draped across my lap i sobbed and spluttered as the tears began to fall and that is where the twins found me
"Mommy whats a matter?" Mark said
"Is rosey sleeping momma?" imogen asked stroking Roses sweet head

"Rosey's gone to heaven to be with the angels babies" i said as the tears began to fall from imogens eyes she crumpled down beside me.clinging to me she buried her face in roseys coat and sobbed. Mark hugged me and stroked roses face not saying anything

I hugged all three of you and stroked her shoulder and cleo came him and sniffed her and licked her muzzle sad at the loss of another family member

after sitting in the cooling eair the body had begun to cool knowing the next step i stood her body in my arms i laid her of the tray of the quad bike and went to get a shovel i climbed on the bike letting mark on behind me and imogne in front
"We'll go bury her under the willow tree" i said to Bo nodding to the other quad if he wanted to come along seeing how ours was full up
I hit the ignition button and drove off at a stedy pace toward the large tree in the paddock that was never used, where our great animals retired once their days walking the Earth had ceased. i stopped the bike and laid the body flat and imogen sat Rosies head in her lap tears still streaming down her face but her sobs stopped Mark stood by her shoulder leaning down to pat the dog and hug his sister

I dug a retcangle big enough for my dear friend and said to the kids
"Say good bye to rosie"
I: "Bye bye rosey girl, i love you"
M" Bye rosy"

tears streamed down my face as i gently lowered her into the hole and i let my hand linger fondling those soft ears one last time.
I shovled the dirt back into the hole and looked around to see imogen and mark carrying a bunch of wild flowers in each hand
they each handed me a fist full of flowers and we all laid them on the mound of dirt.

"Good bye my friend, rest in Peace"
i said as the tears flowed freely i led the twins back to the bike and helped them up and rode it slowly home

i turned the bike off at the barn and helped the kids down they dragged their peet to ward they left the bordercollie puppy Mia in a box stall and closed her in
i went to the office

Bo was waiting with cleo in his hands he was stroking her head and petting one of the hroses muzzles

i sat at the computer doing the days paperwork automatically and when that was finished i turned the pc off and came out
"I wonder how long tabitha will be" i said out loud to noone in particular.

I went to the twins
"Come on time we headed inside, Bring Mia with you" i said softly opening the stall door

Bo comes in with Cleo and sits on the couch with the twins and watches Mia and cleo play

I make a quick meal for them all and set it on the table i set the dog food down and call
"Dinner"
the twins came racing in
"Stop. go wash your hands" i scolded them and when they came back i helped them cut their food up and gave them a sippy cup of milk each when they were settled i headed up stairs not hungry i collected my pjs and headed to the shower.
I closed the door and turned the hot water on letting the steam fill the room, i stripped and added cold water unti lit was to my liking and then climbed into the shower where i again sobbed. salty tears mixed with fresh water i cried until the tears nolonger came and then i slid down the wall and sat under the spray

I finished eating and noticed that you were in the shower for a long time I knocked on the door "are you alright?"

i switch the shower off and climb into a robe and open the door
"Yes" i said and then turned back to dry and dress.
I wash my face with my red rimmed eye again and dry it and then turn ready to go and bath the twins
