Caspers New Herd Arrives

Bess: I lead the herd into the valley following the black stallion Casper behind me flows the mares and foals

Tailah and roger
Sophia and Lincon
Samantha and Dasiy
Red Scooter
Genuine Holly
Nabiel
Khelly and Amaal
Cammbrea
Miss Jewel
Lady Vanessa
Miss Moose's Panda

i stand on a small hill that over looks the herd and i watch for any danger

the herd flows around where ive stoped to watch and they stream around into the valley the foals kick their heels up and run around

i look over at her and smile i start to walk over to her "So when is your foal due"

"soon" i groan as the foal kicks
"the mares with out foals can be covered if you wish"
(Scooter, holly, nabiel, Cammbrea, jewel,vanessa, panda, Spirit and Niaraga.)
"They have begun their heats" i said and looked around
"Who is your lead lord?" i asked

Soon Bess decides that her time has come and wanders to a hidden part of the valley and foals twin fillies


Both of our new foals are fillies, the first born is coal black with a blaze, two hind socks and two partial front socks. The second is solid bay with no markings whatsoever.Their names are Sapphire and Topaz, Sapphire is the black filly and Topaz is the bay filly.

I smileat the two new fillys then at her "I have no lead mare yet but they all have to prove including you" i look back to the herd and say "The ones without foals please come up to me"

A horse come up
"We wish Bess to be the lead she has lead us safely so far"
B: "Thank you Khelly"
Scooter, holly, nabiel, Cammbrea, jewel,vanessa, panda, Spirit and Niaraga all walked over and bes nodded to them and led the twins down into the valley with the other mares and foals

"Yes lord?" Holly spoke up

I smile "Then bess will be the lead mare" i look at holly "Would you like a foal"

Holly: I nod
"we all would lord"

i smile "You do not have to call me lord just call me casper" i nod again "Would you all like them now"

I nod and then said
"Yes, we would"

The combination of the 9 mares scents releasing and mingling wafted towards casper

i mount and dismount them one by one and nuzzle them all after they are bred

"Thank you casper" holly smiled and led them off to foal and by dusk they brought back their foals:

Holly: I lead the new mothers to the leader of the herd and their sire casper
"here they are"

"They are beautiful just like their mothers"

"Casper please will you do the honour of naming them all but Fancy and Spitfire." Holly asked Indicating her filly as fancy and Nabiels colt as Spit Fire

"Sure i need to know how many boys and girls there are"

"Scooters is a colt Cammbreas is a filly, Jewel has a colt vanessa, panda and Spirit have colts and Niraga has a filly"

"Good choices Casper" holly smiled and led the mares and foals off Bess : i walk back to stand by my leader the twins follow and plunk down to nap

i smile and nuzzle bess "How long have you been leading hem"

"I wandered from humans captivity when i was young and as i wandered i sort of collected them. so about five years" i smiled and lent down and nuzzled the foals

"Wow i have been wild my whole life"

I look at him
"There are good things to both, being wild i have my freedom but being captive i was never hungry, cold or alone. Out here there are no fences but yet there are horses that are happy to kill a foal on sight. In captivity they would have chosen the horse i was bred to, kept me monitored closely and had me in a nice warm large barn to have these beautiful babies. Some days i want to turn around and return for I know i would be safe and warm and not have to spend so long eating. The bad part would be the training, if i were to go back now the twins would be seperated at a weanling age and trained when they turned 2. its not bad but if they ended up in the hands of a crule owner then i wouldnt be able to forgive myself.in winter in captivity we would have nice warm blankets on our backs and lots of hay and warm bran mashes to keep the chill out and a beautifully heated stable but out here we are at risk of dying." i said explaining that there was a good and bad side to everything
